The Boy Who Cried Wolf
Once upon a time there was a little shepherd boy who sat at the top of a hill looking after his sheep. This was a very boring job. One day he decided to have some fun and cried, "Wolf! Wolf! There is a wolf trying to eat my sheep!"

All the villagers came running up the hill to help the shepherd boy.

When they came, they saw that the boy was laughing. "Do not cry wolf if there is no wolf!" said the angry villagers.

The next day, the boy was still bored. "Wolf! Wolf! There is a wolf trying to eat my sheep!"

Again, all the villagers came running up the hill to help the shepherd boy. When they came, they saw that the boy was laughing at them. "Do not cry wolf if there is no wolf!" said the angry villagers.

One week later, the boy was sitting under a tree watching his sheep. He saw a REAL WOLF trying to eat his sheep. The shepherd boy cried, "Wolf! Wolf! There is a wolf trying to eat my sheep!"

He waited for the villagers to come running up the hill, but nobody came. He cried again, "Wolf! Wolf! There is a wolf trying to eat my sheep!"  Still nobody came.
All the villagers thought the boy was lying again.
The next day, some of the villagers decided to see why the boy had not come home all night. They climbed up the hill and saw that the boy was crying. There were no more sheep on the hill and they realized that a wolf really did come and eat all the shepherd boy's sheep.
