| While Jack was paying for the necklace, he noticed a girl who looked like Sherry was standing across the street. When Jack rushed out the door, that girl was gone. |
| Next day, Sherry was absent from class. No one knows where she was. Jack went to her house after school, but no one answered the doorbell. |
| That evening, Sherry heard a voice calling for her outside the bedroom window and it was Jack who was holding a rose and a present. |
| Jack raised the flower and necklace and yelled, "Happy Birthday, Sherry!" Sherry smiled and tears of happiness rolled down both her cheeks. |
