Once upon a time there was a little girl named Goldilocks. She loved to go walking in the forest. One day she saw a strange house in the forest. "Anybody home?" asked Goldilocks.
There was no answer. She opened the door and looked inside. She did not know that it was the house of the three bears. "That soup smells really good," said Goldilocks. She went over to the table and saw three bowls of soup.
First she tried Father bear's soup. "This soup is too hot," said Goldilocks.
Then she tried Mother bear's soup. "This soup is too salty," said Goldilocks. Finally, she tried Baby bear's soup. "This soup is perfect," said Goldilocks. Baby bear's soup was so good that she drank the entire bowl.
Goldilocks was feeling tired after drinking all the soup. She went in to the bedroom and saw three beds. First she tried Father bear's bed. "This bed is too hard," said Goldilocks.
Then she tried Mother bear's bed. "This bed is too soft," said Goldilocks.
Finally, she tried Baby bear's bed. "This bed is perfect," said Goldilocks. It was so comfortable that Goldilocks fell asleep.
Meanwhile the three bears came home from their walk in the woods. "Someone has been tasting my soup!" shouted Father bear.
"Someone has been tasting my soup!" shouted Mother bear.
"Someone drank my entire bowl of soup!" shouted Baby bear.
The three bears went into the bedroom.
"Someone has been lying on my bed!" shouted Father bear.
"Someone has been lying on my bed!" shouted Mother bear.
"Someone is lying on my bed!" shouted Baby bear.
Just then, Goldilocks woke up. She opened her eyes and saw three angry bears looking at her. Goldilocks was very scared and ran all the way home. She promised herself never to go inside a stranger's house again.
