The Sly Fox and Little Red Hen

Once there lived a little red hen in her neat little house in the woods.

She usually stayed home to protect herself from the sly fox.

One day, she went out to pick some sticks for her fire.

Meanwhile, the sly fox sneaked into her house and hid behind the door.

When the little red hen returned, the fox jumped out from behind and surprised the red hen.

The red hen flew all the way up to the top of the roof and sat on a rafter.

The young fox couldn't fly so he came up with an idea.

He started to chase his own tail and spinning around on the floor.

The little red hen kept watching him on the rafter and began to feel dizzy and fell off the rafter.

The young fox then quickly put the little red hen in a bag and went back home.

Halfway home, the young fox felt tired, so he stopped and took a nap on the side of the road.

As soon the little red hen heard him snoring, she quickly broke a hole in the bag and escaped.

She put many heavy rocks into the bag and then ran back home.

A little later, the young fox woke up and went home.

"I have been waiting a very long time for you and our meal!" said the mother fox happily.

"I have already boiled the water. Let's throw the little red hen in all at once!" mother fox continued.

When the young fox emptied the bag into the pot, they both screamed because the heavy rocks made a large splash all over them.

The two foxes were so frightened that they ran away and never return again.
